Privacy Policy
We do not give out your telephone number, credit card
information, or other personal data unless you specifically authorize us
to do so. Your information is strictly confidential and your property
alone. No information will ever be disclosed to outside parties.
DDS.com will not use information about where you go on our Web
site, nor give that data out to third parties. We may aggregate traffic
patterns in order to improve the quality of our Web site, but we do not
review information at the personal level, only the aggregate.
Please note that the only information automatically logged by
www.DDS.com is a user's IP address. The IP information in no way identifies the user, merely the Internet Service Provider.
DDS.com recognizes the importance of protecting the personal
privacy of both its customers and those individuals who simply visit the
site. The privacy and security of your personal information are matters
of the greatest importance to us. Our business can only succeed within
an environment of trust and total confidentiality. This is our pledge to
you.
Security Policy
DDS.com utilizes only proven security technologies in our
efforts to safeguard your personal data. There are several sections
within the Web site where we collect personal information. The following
helps explain how we protect the integrity of your data:
Online Enrollment
Your online enrollment form will require numerous personal
disclosures. We protect your information using a technology called
Secure Sockets Layer (SSL). As you enter personal information (such as
your address, credit card number, and phone number), SSL encodes it so
that it is available only to you and the DDS.com computer that receives
your completed enrollment. This encryption makes doing business over the
Internet as secure as making a purchase by telephone.
About Cookies
DDS.com uses cookies. Cookies are tiny bits of information that
are stored locally on your computer. We use cookies to record your
session settings. In particular, we keep track of your user name and
your user preferences. By doing so, you are not required to re-enter
this information each time you visit our site. Cookies cannot be used,
however, to "steal" information about you or your computer. They can be
used only to store information that you have provided at some point
during your visit. In short, cookies make your Web experience more
enjoyable and less tedious without violating your privacy. For a
detailed discussion of the cookie question, visit

How do I know if a site is secure?
While browsing the Internet, you will encounter sites that are
set up to be secure. Most browsers display "https," (Figure 1) as well
as an icon, usually located in a status bar at the top of the window,
that changes slightly when accessing a secure site. The most common icon
is a padlock (Figure 2). In each case the solid or locked state
indicates a secure site. For more information about this, you might want
to take a look at the documentation for the browser you are using.

What's a cookie?
In the context of Internet security, a cookie is a digital file
delivered to and stored on your hard disk from a particular Web site.
This file contains information about your activities on that site, and
can be used (only by the site of its origin) to store things like your
preferences for browsing that site, or a history of your transactions
with that site.
You should know that it is possible to refuse to accept a
cookie (you can set this as a preference in most Web browsers), but many
sites, including DDS.com, require you to accept cookies in order to
function properly.
For most browsers, this is a small change in the security
settings options. For more information about this, you might want to
take a look at the documentation for the browser you are using. Many
browser applications feature a 'Help' menu or button that will lead you
to more detailed instructions.
Is it safe to give my personal data?
At DDS.com, we use all the tools and technology available to
ensure that your personal data are safely transmitted. We protect your
information using a technology called Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) - the
industry standard. As you enter personal information (such as your
address, credit card, and phone number), SSL encodes it so that it is
available only to you and the DDS.com computer that receives it.
