This is a client of Ray's, www.designingsmile.com, which was created by Dentistry21 who is listed on the competitive matrix guide that y'all received during my presentation. They offer a decent service but DDS.com's service is better (if I do say so myself). Here are my observations.
2.
All maps sends patients to Google in the "same window." If you have a patient on your site, keep them on your site. If you are going to send patients to an external website, then have the link open in a "new window" so when that window is closed, the dental website is still open. View this page, http://www.designingsmile.com/hours_direction.htm and then click on View Larger Map or click on the directions to see this for yourself. Changing a link from "same window" to "new window" is very easy to do so this is correctable but DDS.com clients can edit the links themselves.
4. There is no footer text except for links to Dentistry21's site.
5. There is some attempt at patient education but you be the judge of what is more educational. Here is their info for inlays and onlys, and here is DDS.com's info for inlays and onlays. Here is their info on implants and DDS.com's info on implants. Here is their info on sealants and DDS.com's info on sealants. I could go on but I think you can see the benefit of DDS.com content over the current website provider.
6. We create a custom link for CareCredit. Without clicking, place your mouse over their CareCredit link and look in the lower left to see a link to the CareCredit home page, http://designingsmile.com/insurance_pay.htm. Now place your mouse over the CareCredit logo on Smileworks and look in the lower left corner to see a string of custom text, http://smileworks.dds.com/Financial_Policies.htm. When this CareCredit logo is clicked, the link takes the patient to the CareCredit website and the Smileworks office information is already pre-formatted so the patient does not have to fill it in. In other words, CareCredit knows the web visitor came from the Smileworks office! How cool is that?
